Why I did this
I stand on the shoulders of giants.
When I learned Morse, I found a whole shelf of great tools, each one built by someone who loved CW and gave it away. One taught the characters. One ran a pileup. One put me on the air with real operators. One drilled the words. One played characters and said them out loud while I drove. Every one of them was excellent, and every one of them lived somewhere different: some on a desktop, some in a browser, some on a phone, one on a bit of hardware on the bench. I spent as much time switching between them as I did practicing, and I desperately wanted one place I could open and just train.
That is all this app is. It is not a new idea. It is the tools that taught me, in one pocket, on both phones, free.
Ham radio (and CW especially) has given me far more than I expected when I first picked up a key. Friendships with people I would never have met. Places I would never have gone and things I would never have done, all because someone on the other end answered. I am grateful for that, and this is my way of giving some of it back.
If it helps your copy, or gives you the confidence to get on the air for the first time, then that makes it all worthwhile. Please feel free to share it with your club, your friends, or your classmates. It would be an honor if it helped them too. I hope to see you as part of our amazing community.
